Numbers Game: I Heart Fiber
A 2004 pooled analysis of 10 prospective studies on fiber intake and heart disease risk (led by Dr. Mark Pereira of Harvard University and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association's Archives of Internal Medicine) found that "coronary heart disease event" (i.e.: heart attacks) risk was lowered by _________ percent for every 10 grams of fiber consumed per day.
